How the score is built - and why it can't be gamed
Internal Catch Rate
Share of nonconformances raised by ACE first: redress, receiving inspection, third-party NDT, internal audit. A customer return or field failure means the customer caught it, not us. Trailing 90 days.
NCR Disposition
Open NCRs dispositioned within 30 days of the nonconformance. An item still sitting in quarantine after 30 days counts against the area. Closed means documented, not forgotten.
Corrective Action Closure
CARs closed by their target date with a documented root cause. Late CARs and closures with no real root cause count against the area. This is where most quality programs fail.
Records Currency
Active serialized assets with an inspection, certification or redress record inside 12 months (70%), and personnel credentials that are not expired (30%). Low until the existing paper records are loaded; that is the truth, not a bug.
Phase 2 wiring (after data accrues): corrective-action closure rate, NCR rate per job, and incident severity weighting join the composite. Targets per area are set in the quality_targets table - no code changes required.
